The Jim Ellis family of dealerships has been in operation more than 40 years. Founded by Jim and Billie Ellis in 1971, the first Jim Ellis dealership was Jim Ellis Volkswagen of Atlanta. A short time later, Jim Ellis Mazda of Atlanta was started to answer the Mazda automobile needs of Atlanta natives. Today the Jim Ellis family is still a strong part of the business. Jim Ellis remains the president and CEO and is very active in the company’s major decisions. Billie Ellis is the secretary and treasurer of the corporations, while their son, Jimmy, is the vice president and CEO of the corporations. Many more members of the family also play a role in the day-to-day operations of the Jim Ellis Automotive Group.
